During this drill we will focus on knowing the highest percentage shot in our bag. I call it the “go to” shot.

There are times when accuracy in premium. Perhaps the fairway is really tight, or YOU are really tight trying to win the bet.

These are the times when you need a shot you can count on. It won’t be the longest, but you know where it will land.

Here are some ideas to try:

• Choke down a little.
• Tee it lower – it won’t spin as much and curve.
• Hit the shot that you have the most confidence in – maybe a fade.
• Swing easier.

The key is to know YOUR favorite shot. Test it on the range.

Next time you play, wait for the proper time to pull the “go to” shot out of the bag … then let’er rip! Every time you hit it correct, your confidence will grow.
