The Game of Chance
Here is a new game that is quickly becoming a favorite at EyeLine. It is a mixture of pressure and risk taking. Here is a new game that is quickly becoming a favorite at EyeLine. It is a mixture of pressure and risk taking… how good is that!!

Goal
: Build confidence under self-imposed pressure.

Activity:
1. Pick a hole. Measure out 3, 4, and 5 feet from the cup, and create a North, South, East, and West configuration.

  • Choose a competitor – or two!
  • Begin with one player putting a 3 footer at the North. If he makes the putt, he moves to the West and continues until he misses.
  • Chance! When a putt is missed, the player has the option to “chance it”. If he chooses to putt – a make lets him continue to go; a miss puts him at the beginning. The player can choose to not “chance it”, and wait until it is his turn again.
  • When all the 3, 4, and 5 footers are made, the winning putt must be made from 12 feet.

This is a great game because there is a lot of mental “interference”. There are several layers of different pressure. The putts all require a good stroke and good speed. Awesome!

Variation: If you are too good for other people to compete with you, play solitaire; track the number of turns you required.

Change the length of the putts … if you dare.
